Full Job Description Job Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform Non-Destructive testing both in-lab and in-field using standard methods (MT, UT, PT, ET, RT)
- Perform destructive testing for Metal, Polymers, Ceramics, Rubber and Elastomers under the direction of the engineering staff
- Operation and maintenance of specialized equipment in a safe, efficient manner
- Prepare samples for analysis using polishing, macro etch, and micro etch techniques
- Raw data entry and analysis
- Take incoming photos of samples
- Conduct first-level preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment used for testing.
- Assist in maintaining
ISO 17025
calibration standards and laboratory maintenance- Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Comfortable working in an engineering-driven environment.
- Ability to use basic hand tools (saws, drills, grinders)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor electrical/mechanical machines
- Basic computer skills required for data entry
Credentials and Experience:
- Level II NDT Certifications in RT (Radiographic Examination) required.
UT, PT, MT, ET
certifications a plus.- Supporting OJT Logged to support certifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience working in a laboratory environment
Special Requirements:
- Willing to travel up to 25% for field inspection
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by Business Manager.
- Sitting, standing, some lifting and construction laborer work, including lifting and carrying product is required.
