Job Title:
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II Technician - DIRECT
PLACEMENT
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced NDT Level II Technician to perform ultrasonic inspections and support quality assurance processes. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and calibrating inspection equipment, executing test procedures, and accurately analyzing and documenting results in compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare, set up, and calibrate NDT equipment prior to inspections Perform ultrasonic testing using established procedures and techniques Interpret inspection data and assess results against acceptance criteria Accurately record findings and maintain detailed inspection documentation Compile reports and organize inspection records for traceability Develop and refine inspection procedures for review and approval by Level III personnel Operate portable ultrasonic testing devices using pulse-echo and through-transmission methods Utilize automated inspection systems (e.g., AUSS, MAUS) for scanning components Secure and position parts for inspection while operating scanning systems Identify, classify, and document discontinuities in a high-volume production environment Required Qualifications Current NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) At least 2 years of hands-on experience in NDT inspections Proficiency with portable ultrasonic flaw detection equipment Experience working with automated ultrasonic scanning systems Willingness and ability to work non-standard shifts (swing or overnight) Ability to safely lift up to 30 lbs without assistance Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in NDT is a plus Background in ultrasonic testing of composite materials highly desirable Familiarity with phased array ultrasonic testing techniques Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation What We Offer Our organization provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package designed to support employee well-being and career growth.
