Job Description

Ability to read and interpret simple and complex drawings, specifications, geometric tolerances, and processes. Contractor Quality Engineer is required to work in Virginia/ West Virginia area with Defense/Military and Aerospace background. Candidate must be able to travel to various suppliers located primarily in Virginia with occasional exceptions. The candidate must be flexible to accommodate shifting priorities and be able to work well with supplier representatives and have good communication skills. Candidate must have cell phone Computer not provided. He/she must have at least 10 years of quality assurance experience, which includes:
IPC-A- 600
•, 610, 620 Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per
ANSI-STD Y14.5
Auditing manufacturing processes to SAE, ASTM or Military Standards, Evaluation of corrective action for nonconforming products and the associated recommended corrective action, Precision mechanical inspection tools, Inspecting machined parts, castings mechanical assemblies, tooling, brazing, plating, finishes, painting First Article Inspection of the above (Net-Inspect), Test witness, Qualification test witness, Computer literate in EXCEL and Word. The following background is a plus: Thorough experience with J-STD-001 and
IPC 610F
soldering, Experience in RF Hybrids, Mil PRF 38534, and Mil Std 883. Ability to inspect and test RF Hybrids, Evaluation of printed circuit board manufacturing processes, Inspection of printed circuit board. Evaluation of special processes i.e. Non-destructive Testing, finishing, plating, welding, brazing, and heat treating. • must have a present certification.
