Fusion Engineer The Opportunity:
Immerse yourself in cutting-edge technologies while serving as a strategic technical advisor to energy clients. As a fusion engineer on our team, you will support the development of new technologies for fusion energy systems by providing advice and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored Research and Development (R D) programs. Your insights will also help inform our clients about emerging technology needs. You will engage and collaborate with a diverse group of technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development. You Have:
5+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to plasma physics and fusion energy systems 2+ years of experience researching gyrotrons or beam energy physics Ability to travel up to 15% Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements Doctorate degree in nuclear engineering or electrical engineering
Nice If You Have:
Experience in an advisory role Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking Possession of excellent communication, organizational, client service, and analytical skills
