Thrive in a fast-paced environment, embracing evolving tasks and priorities. Lead the charge in ensuring the safety of Honda Aircraft products by applying systems engineering principles to identify and eliminate hazards, reducing associated risks throughout their lifecycle. Perform system safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), System Safety Assessments (SSA), and Common Cause Analysis (CCA). Collaborate with design, reliability, and certification teams to ensure safety requirements are met. Participate in design reviews, providing critical safety-related input. Utilize innovative approaches to solve complex and challenging problems. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety processes and tools. Take personal responsibility for your continued professional growth and development, with full support from your manager.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in system safety engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry. Familiarity with safety standards such as ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254. Experience with safety analysis tools (e.g., Fault Tree+, CAFTA, or similar). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline. Experience with aircraft certification processes. Familiarity with the management of safety requirements in DOORS or similar software. Familiarity with FAA Part 23 airworthiness standards. Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.Similar remote jobs
