Job Description Essential Responsibilities:

As the Deterministic Safety Analysis Engineer, you will: Quickly learn and apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve problems. Lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses . Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses. Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of BWR stability. Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with regulatory rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).

Eligibility Requirements:

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but Atlanta, GA will also be considered.

Desired Characteristics:

Master's degree i n engineering Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes. Background in power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics. Possess fundamental knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response. Knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR Knowledge of power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics. Knowledge of two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques. Experience with Best Estimate and CSAU applications Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON Acts with honesty and integrity, takes ownership of their work, and communicates with confidence and clarit y . Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $69,600.00 and $120,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
