Nuclear Safety Subject Matter Expert II SMSI provides expert management consulting, program and project management, and technical consulting services to government and private sector clients. Job Summary SMSI is hiring a Nuclear Safety Subject Matter Expert II to be an integral part of team. The candidate will work a hybrid schedule with the ability to work remotely but travel onsite to the client sites in Aiken, SC, Amarillo, TX or LLNL in California as needed. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and communicate with stakeholders and teams for nuclear safety and criticality for nuclear facilities. Prepare, review, and produce concise written documentation in regard to nuclear operations, weapons design, and safety basis documents. Required Skills 20 years of established experience working with DOE, NNSA, and government agencies in a Project Management or Program Management role in nuclear facilities. Proven experience in historical research of weapons and nuclear facilities. Record of accomplishments enabling programmatic success in both Pit Technologies and Actinide Manufacturing facilities. At least 10 years of experience leading teams in actinide operations. The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. The candidate must hold an active Q clearance. Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Professional Engineering license in Nuclear Engineering is required. Education Requirements Candidate should have a PhD in Nuclear Engineering. Minimum of 20 years of DOE and nuclear facilities experience required. PI284204130
