Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Licensing Engineer you will:
Coordinate and prepare Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), including preparation of responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questionsHelp develop, resolve, and determine the effectiveness of condition reportsCoordinate and review Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), including preparation of responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questionsPrepare licensing documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR) applicationsPerform verification of task reports and engineering inputsSupport customer 10 CFR 50.59 reviews, including preparation of Technical Safety Evaluation Reports and working with internal teams evaluating licensing status of various fuel, methods, and methodology changesInterface with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues, and secure applicable permissions and approvals related to project scopesRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years of direct nuclear licensing experience including experience leading complex projects, direct involvement and expertise with 10 CFR Part 21, and providing regulatory guidance/direction to contributing functions (i.e, Engineering)Additional Eligibility QualificationsGVH will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Desired CharacteristicsNRC Licensing process and regulatory knowledge / technical knowledge of one or more areas, such as nuclear fuel, operating plants, etcExcellent technical writing skills and oral communication skills with the ability to create technical reports suitable for a wide range of audiencesWorking knowledge of Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) systems, fuel, or operationsExperience and demonstrated effectiveness in working / communicating with NRC personnelExperience working with industry groups (i.e., NEI and Owners Groups) on nuclear licensing mattersExcellent technical writing skills with the ability to create technical reports suitable for a wide range of audiencesEffective interpersonal and facilitation skillsProcess skills related to coordinating and documenting complex technical documentsExternally focused: Takes action to enhance the reputation of the company / represents the company well at all opportunitiesClear thinker: Communicates messages clearly and concisely with the ability to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on the best available information / ability to sift through complex information and focus on critical few prioritiesAdditional RequirementsAbility and willingness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including NRC required background checkThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. June 12, 2026For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $111,200.00 and $213,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
