Job Description
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering assignments including but not limited to engineering action items, producing data sheets, and drafting engineering specifications and standards
- Track status on engineering progress
- Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
- Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
- Develop logs to track project deviations
- Assist with progress reporting and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
- Maintain engineering project files in accordance with the Project File Index and Retention Schedule
- Support meeting coordination for model reviews and vendor presentations
- Track and monitor material key quantities
- Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
- Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
- Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
- Other duties as assigned ## Basic Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Nuclear Engineering or global equivalent; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner ## Other Job Requirements
- Serve as a Company representative to external clients
- Participate in Fluor University® for training and career development
- Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
- Participate in department/project meetings and training
- Provide routine administrative and technical support for the Process team's activities on a project such as document tracking, maintenance of electronic and hardcopy files, issue documents, staff communications, and create and edit various documents
- Maintain drawing log
- Support Process standards and procedures
- Support Process project file organization ## Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent required
- Minimun two (2) years of education with focus on Nuclear Engineering
- Proficient in use of Fluor specialized software programs
- Basic computer and software skills
- Basic interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
