If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you're invited to apply for this role. ## Job Description The purpose of this position is to perform the role of an engineering technician on a medium-sized, broad and diverse task force. This requires comprehensive knowledge of an individual engineering discipline and general knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering assignments including but not limited to engineering action items, producing data sheets, and drafting engineering specifications and standards
  • Track status on engineering progress
  • Generate and process forms for the distribution of electronic engineering documents
  • Establish and apply documentation standards for Flow Diagram Change Notices (FDCN) workflow procedures
  • Develop logs to track project deviations
  • Assist with progress reporting and preparation of weekly and monthly status reports
  • Maintain engineering project files in accordance with the Project File Index and Retention Schedule
  • Support meeting coordination for model reviews and vendor presentations
  • Track and monitor material key quantities
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned ## Basic Job Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Nuclear Engineering or global equivalent; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner ## Other Job Requirements
  • Serve as a Company representative to external clients
  • Participate in Fluor University® for training and career development
  • Contribute to and promote the use of Fluor's knowledge management portals and communities
  • Participate in department/project meetings and training
  • Provide routine administrative and technical support for the Process team's activities on a project such as document tracking, maintenance of electronic and hardcopy files, issue documents, staff communications, and create and edit various documents
  • Maintain drawing log
  • Support Process standards and procedures
  • Support Process project file organization ## Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent appropriate General Certificates of Secondary Education or global equivalent required
  • Minimun two (2) years of education with focus on Nuclear Engineering
  • Proficient in use of Fluor specialized software programs
  • Basic computer and software skills
  • Basic interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
