Airswift has been tasked by a major Oil and Gas client looking for a Safety Relief Engineer to work in Spring, TX for 1 year assignment with benefits offered.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Responsible for evaluations of safety systems.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop unit & flare Safety Relief Reviews (SRRs), which is an engineering evaluation of the safety systems that keep our process facilities safe performed in support of capital project development or consulting for a manufacturing site
- Consult & provide TQA (Total Quality Assurance) of site-performed SRR work, including those developed by 3rd parties
- Propose cost-effective mitigations for SRR findings
- Participate in Risk Assessments with Process Safety & Risk
- Support sites in maintaining evergreen Unit & Flare Models
- Perform and/or lead pressure relief system analysis in support of projects and site activities
- Responsible for delivering efficient and accurate process safety studies and solutions
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemical Engineering and/or previous experience in a closely related position
- Previous experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemicals industry
- Knowledge of Process Design fundamentals with respect to safety, including, overpressure scenario identification
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams
- Fundamental understanding of distillation tower, pump and compressor operation and performance
- Process Safety Pressure Protection Measure (PSPPM) is a major plus.
