Job Description

Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Licensing Engineer III role provides regulatory support for significant station initiatives and organizational objectives. Responsibilities include interfacing with Engineering Projects team members, other plant organizations, supporting vendors, industry peers, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The role also provides regulatory and technical support for assigned tasks in accordance with established station processes. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay range:
$47.75 - $73.02

Provide leadership, management direction, and consultation to the organization's new nuclear Licensing and Environmental staff to ensure nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues are identified, addressed, and resolved. Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on matters affecting regulatory compliance and project performance. Create and communicate the vision, strategic objectives, and key business initiatives for the Licensing and Environmental team. Represent the organization with applicable regulators, industry work groups, workshops, and conferences. Prepare and monitor departmental performance related to project milestones, financial objectives, and commitments. Establish and maintain policies and procedures governing Nuclear Development Licensing and Environmental activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 7 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, at least 2 of which must be in a Department of Energy or Nuclear Regulatory Commission-regulated nuclear environment; OR Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination and 7 years of engineering experience in a technical environment, at least 4 of which must be in a Department of Energy or Nuclear Regulatory Commission-regulated nuclear environment. A high school diploma or GED is required. At least 1 diverse assignment. Knowledge of, and the ability to apply, advanced engineering techniques, practices, theories, and methods to identify and solve complex problems. Ability to mentor others in advanced techniques and to develop and maintain training materials related to Regulatory Affairs. Ability to use standard Microsoft Office suite products. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for non-technical audiences or individuals with varying levels of technical proficiency.
