Job Description:
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position with our client located in Oxford, MA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge laser systems in a highly collaborative, hands-on environment where you'll have full exposure to the product lifecycle-from concept through production.
Salary Range:
$93,000/year to $123,000/year. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer job responsibilities include: Design precision opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical components Develop optical mounts and compact laser assemblies Build and qualify prototypes Perform thermal analysis (FEA) and validation testing Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors Support product development from concept through release
Desired Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical Engineering (minimum) 5+ years of experience in opto-mechanical or precision mechanical design Strong SolidWorks skills Experience with optical mounting techniques Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving ability
