Job Description

Duties:
Team Leadership (15-20% of overall time): Direct and manage the Project Engineering Team; Delegate tasks, oversee project execution, and evaluate performance; Lead recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
Project Liaison:
Act as the primary contact for coordination and updates with Precitec Headquarters in Germany.
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the subject matter expert in high-end laser welding and inspection systems; Collaborate with R D and sales departments to develop new technologies and refine products.
System Commissioning and Customer Support:
Install and commission laser weld inspection and seam tracking systems at customer facilities; Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting and recommendations for laser welding processes; Maintain thorough records of service activities and customer communications.
Customer Engagement:
Offer continued email and phone-based technical support; Deliver product demonstrations and technical training sessions for clients.
Sales & Technical Integration:
Provide technical input during the sales process and assist in project delivery; Resolve customer concerns through root cause analysis, technical consultation, and corrective actions aligned with company expertise.
Travel:
30-50% international annually.
Requirements:
Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field. 1 year of experience as engineer or related occupation that includes the following: 1. Commissioning and configuring laser welding systems, including complete setup and end-user training; 2. Advanced vision systems, such as camera-based seam tracking/inspection or photo diode-based process monitoring systems; 3. Laser welding processes and aluminum and steel materials; 4. Graph-based programming environments such as MATLAB Simulink, LabVIEW, or comparable; 5. Management of technical projects on a global scale; 6. Industrial communication systems, including EtherNET/IP, ProfiNet and EtherCAT.
