Seeking individual with extensive process engineering and design expertise for multi-layer optical thin film coatings who can lead the process development team during new product development, equipment qualification, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead process design, evaluation, improvement, and implementation.
• Define equipment requirements, source and select new equipment or identify modifications and upgrades for existing vacuum chambers.
• Oversee process engineers and coach in advanced techniques.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, educate team members on changes or updates.
• Engage customers and identify changing product requirements.
• Support transition of new products from testing to production.

Requirements:

• 5+ years direct experience in process design, development, and improvement for multi-layer thin films applied using thermal evaporation, E-Beam PVD, CVD, Sputtering, or similar.
• Advanced degree in Optics, Materials Science, Physics, etc.
