Job Description:
In this role, you will collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to predict and improve system-level performance of novel products and prototypes. Using internally developed simulation tools—including an existing display emulation codebase in MATLAB—you will analyze results to directly enhance product and prototype performance while improving the codebase's maintainability, efficiency, and capabilities.
Must-Have Skills:
Deep proficiency in MATLAB Strong software development skills Experience with source control Nice-to-have Skills Signal/Image processing Mathematical modeling and simulation Color science Knowledge of display technologies (μLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD) or display pipeline architecture Familiarity with display metrology/calibration, image quality metrics, or human perception
Years of Experience:
Have at least 5 years experience in software development.
Degrees/Certifications Required:
BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work/education experience.
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Code refactoring in IQToolbox. Use simulation tools to model end-to-end performance of display systems Report analysis of these simulations to establish specifications for these display systems and ensure a successful product Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiences How will performance be measured? Through series of milestones yet to be defined What makes this role interesting? Work on emulating cutting edge AR products that are under development Value added or experience gained Gain experience in imaging system modeling What are some difficulties that the candidate should be aware they may face in the role and need to be able to handle to be successful? There is a steep learning curve in becoming familiar with the code base and what it does.
