POSITION SUMMARY
Utilities Supervisor is accountable for the operational supply of the required industrial services (IS) for the plant and ensuring the safe reliable and efficient maintenance of the industrial services equipment and supply services for assigned areas of Industrial Services. Primary industrial services responsibilities may include: Steam and hot water generation and distribution, including condensate recovery Refrigeration and Chilled water (and/or other cold medium) generation and distribution Potable and process water treatment, supply, and distribution system Compressed air generation and distribution
AHU & HVAC
system Wastewater system and treatment Energy efficiency and resource conservation of these utilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the industrial services to meet the operation's demand. This includes direct supervision, planning and scheduling of the Wastewater operators and IS technicians, providing direction, and developing their capability and performance. Ensure that the IS equipment is properly and safely maintained according to the maintenance plan utilizing SAP AMM while minimizing the impact on production. Compliance with all federal, state, local and internal Nestle requirements for operation and maintenance of the IS and Water Recycle plant. Ensure all staff are aware of requirements and their responsibility. Keep documentation updated with any changes carried out using the change management process. Ensure the efficient operation of all utility systems minimizing the use of natural resources, energy, and the impact on the environment. This includes leveraging 3rd party vendors to optimize and improve current operations. Close coordination with production, and engagement with safety, quality and HR as needed. Engagement, contracting and supervision on site of external vendors and contractors. Develop competence in the IS discipline for continuous support and improvement of the IS operation. Keep abreast of industry best practices and their potential application and benefits in the IS area.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering preferred.
Preferred:
RETA certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer 1-2 years of maintenance or engineering supervisory experience Prefer 3-5 years in maintenance or engineering field experience
SKILL:
Experience in utility and infrastructure systems that support food manufacturing. Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). Strong knowledge of utility and facility systems and the ability to relate it to current and new designs. Strong experience based in detailed equipment design, installation, and execution for utility and facilities systems. Working knowledge of energy management systems in both concept and execution. Strong drawing reading and interpretation skills. Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and MS project preferred. Working knowledge of utilities, energy recovery, automation and control. Knowledge of applicable Laws relating to
OSHA, EPA, ASME
code, and other related regulations that are part of utility and facility management. Project management exposure. Strong technical and leadership skills. Ability to lead, motivate an develop others Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. A working knowledge/awareness of ASME Boilers & Pressure Vessel Code and Standard, ASME Pressure Piping Code
