Job Description

•2 POSITIONS Experience working at •, Engines and Power Systems Very strong background in propulsion control system components Very strong background in propulsion control system requirements The Propulsion Engine Control Systems Group is seeking a technical leader who is passionate about ensuring that current and developing engine control systems meet the evolving needs of our customers. As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the development and integration of engine control systems across our portfolio of propulsion gas turbine engines. You will serve as a technical focal point for internal stakeholders, a mentor to less experienced engineers, and a consultant to leadership on technical matters. Preferred candidates will have previous engine control system development experience, especially for gas turbines or internal combustion engine applications, with customer interface experience preferred. Additionally, working knowledge of control systems, control system accessory components, and/or previous experience with project engineering aspects of a program is desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Disciplined requirements-based engineering of the engine control system requirements, including: Requirements analysis Requirements decomposition Requirements validation and verification Change management Technical leadership and contributions to: System requirement development Engine control system and component requirement development Engine control hardware component design Effective coordination and communication with: Multi-disciplinary design and systems engineering teams Chief engineers, fellows, industry experts Project management organizations Internal and external customers Strategic re-use of requirements and features across multiple programs Continuous improvement in development cost and time efficiency Technical mentorship of developing engineers Field Issue troubleshooting and support Project coordination and supplier technical oversight Program planning, adherence to Agile development processes
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics Bachelor's degree in engineering Minimum 10 years professional engineering experience
