System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance. Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls. Coordinating with customer safety representatives applying methods, standards, and techniques to provide clarification of system requirements to software, hardware, and test personnel to ensure design and architecture considerations are appropriately allocated to the system and horizontally integrated across the development teams. Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds. •Key Responsibilities include:•Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analyses Briefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program Collaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design Interfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Hardware Engineering Managing System Safety Working Group(s) between key

Raytheon and Customer Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)

Years of Experience Required:

Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in: Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Software Engineering Safety Engineering An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position

Required Skill Sets:

Experience with one or more of the following: System Safety Engineering Electrical Engineering Systems Engineering Computer Engineering Software or Firmware Engineering Equivalent Safety Engineering disciplines Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued security clearance U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Skill Sets:

Experience with DoD System Safety Programs, including:
