If you want to be part of shaping the future of mobility, then read on! We are looking for a Staff Systems Test Engineer to join our team. The goal of an Staff Systems Test Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that commissioning and operating test assets are used effectively for the Development, Integrated Testing, and V&V of Wisk Aircraft Systems. You will be part of the Systems Test Team that drives cross-functional efforts, automates test execution, and defines the certification path for integrated test assets. Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Fremont office. In this role you will coordinate between Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and other test engineers to meet various subsystem performance, functional, regression, and reliability verification activities. You will lead documentation efforts on test specifications, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and operation manuals. You will select data acquisition hardware and integrate it into test setups. Furthermore, you will work closely with Test Technicians in test setup, troubleshooting, and execution as needed on test benches. You will also participate in Failure analysis (FMEA, RCCA, etc.) efforts for failures encountered during test execution. Responsibilities Coordinate between Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and other test engineers to ensure performance, functional, regression, and reliability verification activities are met for various subsystems (e.g., battery, propulsion, avionics). Drive a cross-functional team to develop test specifications, plans, and procedures to meet testing needs for the lab and follow on the development of test assets to final commissioning. Automate test execution, data collection, and post-processing to increase test cadence, improve reporting, and perform necessary data review. Define the Certification and Conformity path for the integrated test asset. Participate in Failure analysis (FMEA, RCCA, etc.) efforts for failures encountered during test execution. Requirements B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering degree with at least 8+ years of relevant work experience. You have worked in environments involving aviation or high voltage tests (batteries or EPUs), and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. You have hands-on experience operating aviation or high voltage tests (batteries or EPUs) and practical experiences with laboratory hardware (DMM, Oscilloscopes, powersupplies, etc.). You have a deep and applied knowledge of complex Aircraft System Architectures and/or High Voltage power distribution. You can lead cross-functional audiences and execute programmatic milestones to achieve company goals. You are familiar with aerospace processes and standards (e.g.
DO-160, DO-178, ARP4754A
). Familiarity with National Instrument (NI) tools and hardware (Veristand, Labview, PXI), Python, SQL, and Linux systems is a plus, as is familiarity with agile methodologies (scrum, JIRA) and CAD modeling experience (NX preferred). This role will require X% of travel. This role likely requires travels to Wisk facilities in Mountain View, the Flight Test facility in Hollister, and potentially other Wisk/Boeing facilities where integration testing takes place.Job Type:
Full-time Pay range the company expects to pay: $147,000 - $184,000 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
