A Lighting Controls System Engineer is responsible for developing quotations, preparing submittals, assisting with product selection, and coordinating lighting control system solutions for construction projects. This role works in close collaboration with the quotations team, project managers, sales and specification teams, while partnering with manufacturers, customers, and clients to support successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and lighting control intent documents to ensure accurate system application and compliance with project requirements. Assist in the selection, application, and coordination of lighting control products and systems. Verify that lighting control system drawings align with project specifications, sequences of operation, and applicable code requirements. Coordinate with manufacturers regarding technical requirements, product applications, and project-specific solutions. Support compliance with California Title 24 lighting control requirements and related energy code standards. Collaborate with specifiers, manufacturers, and SCI Sales and Specification teams to develop accurate, professional-quality drawings and submittal packages. Respond to technical inquiries throughout the bidding, submittal, order execution, and project coordination phases. Prepare, organize, file, and submit project documentation and related materials as required. Qualifications Proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD, Revit, and AGi32. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization. Ability to present technical information clearly and professionally in both individual and group settings. Solid understanding of lighting and lighting control systems, including technical applications and system integration concepts. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners. Experience working with a variety of lighting controls manufacturers' systems and platforms. A strong background in Electrical Systems and Lighting Control Systems is required along with a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or business.
