Job Description
Job Description This role focuses on steering systems within next generation software defined vehicles. You will translate ADAS and autonomy requests into safe, reliable steering behavior. You will work at the system level, not motor actuation. The work emphasizes logic, architecture, and functional intent. Key Responsibilities

- Own steering related motion control features at the vehicle level
- Define functional architecture for steering systems Translate ADAS and autonomy requests into steering actions
- Develop and manage system requirements using DOORS or Jama
- Define steering control logic and feature strategies
- Support integration with autonomous driving systems
- Partner with software, controls, and vehicle test teams
- Support functional safety analysis and compliance
- Review and contribute to software design and formatting

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 8+ years of experience as a systems engineer in steering or lateral controls
- Strong understanding of EPS systems and steering control logic
- Familiarity with ADAS steering functions and autonomy interfaces
- Working knowledge of C and Python
- Experience with low voltage electrical systems
- Familiarity with CAN tools and vehicle testing workflows
- Experience with requirements decomposition
- Exposure to functional safety concepts and
ISO 26262
- Comfortable reviewing code without being a daily coder
- Experience with zonal architecture or software defined vehicles
- Autonomous vehicle company experience
- Background at Tesla, Rivian, or similar OEMs
