POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Underground Utilities Construction Superintendent / Foreman to lead our one of our underground utilities projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of underground utility construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all aspects of underground utilities construction projects (water, sewer, storm drain, gas, electrical, and telecommunications). Manage daily field operations, crews, subcontractors, and equipment. Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, utility companies, and municipalities. Enforce strict safety protocols and quality control standards. Prepare project schedules, reports, and change orders. Mentor and develop field personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10+ years of direct experience running construction of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drain, etc.). Proven track record successfully managing large-scale underground utility projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of underground construction methods, shoring, trench safety, and relevant regulations (OSHA, CAL-OSHA, etc.). Experience reading and interpreting civil engineering plans and specifications. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work in all weather conditions and manage physically demanding environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in the Greater Sacramento / Bay area. Relevant certifications (e.g., 30-Hour OSHA, Trenching & Excavation, etc.). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.   • 160,000, depending on location.
This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
