CANUSA EPC
projects requiring knowledge of electrical and building codes in the industrial process. The engineer will take the lead on aspects of project designs, participate in designs reviews with customers, and lead site walk downs in the field. The resource will develop templates and assist with vendor selection in design. This resource will also serve as a client facing representative of the Employer, requiring the resource to communicate with clients as needed and support the installed base of
CANUSA EPC
's clients. The resource, from time to time, may be required to travel to customer sites, events, or training related to business activities for the Employer. 2.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop low voltage one-line diagrams
  • Generate motor schematics and control panel drawings
  • Create grounding, lighting and cable tray plans
  • Technical specification regarding
CANUSA EPC
designed and fabricated buildings
  • Construction support
  • Conduct site surveys to gather field data and generate facility as-built documents
  • Participate in design efforts
  • Promote
CANUSA EPC
sales and business in the local area
  • Understanding and practice of
CANUSA EPC
safety standards while performing business related services
  • Participate in team meetings
  • Meet technical team department productivity and quality goals
  • Perform to
CANUSA EPC
to engineering standards, policies, or details
  • Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections
  • Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule 3.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.
  • Low voltage designs
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Load calculation for power requirement sizing
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws, especially the NEC codes
  • Working knowledge of basic industrial processes; oil and gas, manufacturing
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with users
  • Exceptional communication skills and customer service practices
  • Must have a working knowledge of IEEE, NFPA and
ANSI/ISA
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
  • Able to work with and communicate with field operations personnel to troubleshoot and fix system and process issues in the Petroleum and energy industries 4.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 2 to 5 years of years of electrical experience regarding low voltage or medium voltage equipment
  • Strong technical/computer background
  • Successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments
  • Work independently and within a team environment 5.
EDUCATION / DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • An active professional engineering licensure in the US.
  • A valid driver's license
  • A passport and eligible travel to Canada and
US 6. LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.
  • Written Communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
