Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida (FL) office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer OR Engineer in Training with 2+ years of Substation Protection & Controls experience to join their Power Delivery team.
Responsibilities:
Support P&C design project deliverables, ranging from 4kV up to 500kV (with a particular emphasis on 115kV voltages and above) Produce detailed substation P&C design packages, compliant to required client and national technical standards.
Core design responsibilities include:
One-line diagrams Three-line diagrams Potential and current schematics Control and Indication schematics Communication Interconnections Wiring Diagrams Equipment Sizing and Specifications I/O mapping Construction Documentation /
Outage Sequencing Procurement and Construction SupporT Qualifications:
2+ years of protection & control engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sector ETAP experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus) EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD I/O mapping Constrution documentation/outage sequencing Superior verbal and written communication skills The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
