Salary Range :

Engineer III

• 3+ years of experience FE required. In lieu of FE, 2 additional years of experience are required. $80,000
• $119,000
• Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)E Engineer IV
• 5+ years of experience FE required. In lieu of FE, 2 additional years required PE preferred $92,000
• $140,000
• Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications) 📈

Your Role:

Experienced Substation Structural or Site Civil Engineer The Substation Senior Engineer (Civil) is responsible for the design and procurement of site and foundation equipment/materials for substation facilities in accordance with applicable industry codes, standards and customer requirements. They will work closely with other departments and clients to ensure quality, meeting client's standards and expectations and provide field support to the client during construction activities as required. What You'll Do Prepares scopes of work and estimates for evaluating and designing substations. Interfaces with other company functions, clients, and vendors. Identifies foundation type best used for a given location. Performs detail foundation analysis-based site-specific loading and soil conditions. Performs structural analysis based on load and site conditions as needed Performs detail site analysis for clearing, grading and drainage requirements. Creates site and civil design packages including grading, drainage, site, foundation plans and details Mentors new engineers Performs quality checks for substation site and foundation design packages to ensure industry and customer standards and requirements are met. What You Bring 🎓 Education Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university FE required for both levels (or +2 years experience in lieu of FE) PE preferred for Engineer IV 📊

Experience Engineer III:

3+ years of experience in substation civil design within the utilities or energy industry

Engineer IV:

5+ years of experience with demonstrated technical depth and project leadership Experience with ETAP, WinIGS, and

IEEE 80/998

Experience with structural/foundation loading analysis. Experience with site design concepts including water flow calculations. Experience with industry standards.
