Level Engineering Opportunity:
Distribution Engineer Kick‑start your engineering career with hands‑on experience designing the electrical systems that power our communities. We're looking for a motivated Entry‑Level Distribution Engineer eager to learn, collaborate, and make a real‑world impact. In this role, you'll help design and support overhead and underground electrical distribution systems (4kV-138kV), gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle—from field inspections to final construction reviews. If you're excited about power infrastructure, problem‑solving, and working both in the field and office, this could be the perfect next step. What You'll Do Design and develop construction and design work packages for electrical distribution systems (OH, UG, URD, Make Ready, Street Lighting). Support key utility programs, including overloaded transformer upgrades, inspections, joint use coordination, and maintenance initiatives. Ensure all designs meet safety standards, engineering best practices, and quality expectations . Perform site visits and field inspections, then translate findings into practical engineering designs. Complete engineering calculations such as structural analysis, guying, and voltage drop studies . Prepare and submit permitting documents to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs). Provide engineering support during construction and lead post‑construction reviews . Analyze outages, identify root causes, and develop engineering‑driven mitigation solutions . What You Bring Required Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline). Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArcGIS, and ArcMap . Strong interest in power distribution systems and utility infrastructure. Willingness to travel locally for field inspections. Preferred (Nice to Have) Internship, co‑op, or academic project experience in power utilities or energy . EIT certification (or intent to obtain). Familiarity with GIS/WMS systems such as GE Smallworld or Bentley Expert Designer. Experience with distribution design tools (BOUD, SOCKET). Exposure to MicroStation, CAD, or GIS platforms . Knowledge of NESC and utility design standards . Why Join Us? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $29.81/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
