Step into a role where you'll support the planning and delivery of electric distribution projects that enhance reliability, enable modernization, and meet the evolving needs of our clients. CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I to join our Electric Distribution Team at a client site near Norwell, MA . In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals to develop practical engineering solutions, gain hands-on experience in utility design, and build the foundation for a successful career in the energy sector—all while helping power the communities we serve.
What You'll Do:
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for electric distribution infrastructure including overhead and underground systems Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for grid resiliency and energy transition projects Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing energy delivery Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of electric distribution systems
What You Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework is preferred Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:
$72,000 - $75,000 Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
