Job Description

Our client, a leader in automotive innovation and sustainable transportation, is seeking a dedicated Energy Management Synthesis Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Energy Management Synthesis Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development Department supporting vehicle testing and energy analysis teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a passion for advancing vehicle efficiency and performance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Auburn Hills, Michigan What's the Job? Lead activities related to vehicle testing for Fuel Economy/Range, drivability, and test analysis. Serve as the primary contact for vehicle program FE/Range testing data and subjective drivability assessments. Maintain test vehicle(s) by coordinating hardware and software updates through the vehicle development process. Coordinate and perform chassis dynamometer testing for FE/Range evaluations on specific vehicle programs. Analyze test data, providing insights to energy analysis and electrical load teams, and communicate results effectively. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university. At least 3 years of experience in product or propulsion system development and testing. Experience with ETAS-INCA or similar data acquisition tools. Knowledge of powertrain and electrified powertrain systems is preferred. Proficiency with AVL Drive, Matlab, and MS-Excel is advantageous.
