Back Electrical and Electronics Architecture Power Distribution Engineer#2016823 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The EE Architecture Power Distribution Engineer will be responsible for providing the electrical and electronics architecture optimized power distribution solutions to specific vehicle platforms/top hats. They need to have a holistic understanding of vehicle electrical architecture to provide the architecture solutions/releases that satisfy the vehicle program needs, working with stakeholders inside and outside the EE Architecture team. He will also be responsible for creating topologies, power distribution fuse trees, reference schematics and requirements for power distribution for Stellantis archetype and architecture applications to the different programs to meet optimized energy and functional safety targets.

Responsibilities include:

Understand Platform/Programs application requirements and provide an optimized architecture and power distribution solution built from the existing archetype portfolio of solutionsIdentify Platform/Program needs not covered by the Archetype and propose solutionsInteract with the Vehicle Architecture, Power Distribution and wiring harness teams to understand vehicle integration constraints and optimize architecture deploymentCreate Power distribution topologies and define the best power bus configuration to meet Functional Safety requirements concerning power and voltage delivery.

Define loads grouping under relays and eFuses to optimize current draw with vehicle Off, observing electrical loads types, domains and safety requirements.

Collaborate with Wiring Systems to optimize fuse trees and electrical Power Distribution Centers (PDCs)Obtain Platform/Program deliverables timing from the architecture project chief and ensure deliverables on time with quality guaranteeing a robust change managementCreate specific topologies for the Platform/Program ApplicationDevelop with System Electrical Diagrams (SEDs) and work with the Schematics Design team to develop mechanizations (SDPs) for the ApplicationSupport Platform/Program meetings/discussions involving architecture or Power DistributionProvide SDPs and generate the list of applicable core architecture / infrastructure requirements for components sourcing when specific for the platformCreate specific topologies / schematics for mulesSupport the Energy Management Team in the collection of current consumption of components for the ignition off draw (IOD) / Energy consumption calculations/simulationsIdentify uniqueness of vehicle power distribution configuration (e.g. different lengths) and work with the Power Distribution to calculate and modify the fuse sizes accordinglyProvide EE Architecture/power distribution impact and technical feasibility analysis to Platform/Program Investigate Bulletins Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,

United States Requirements Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Scienced, Computer Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience in EE Architecture design, Power distribution or Electrical Engineering architecture roles.

Experience in defining and designing embedded networked computer systems including definition of system networking/power distribution topologies, components, and interfaces.

Experience in power distribution, network

Communication Design:

CAN, CAN-FD, LIN and Ethernet protocols.

Understanding of typical vehicle EE architectures and automotive development processes.

Strong systems thinker.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of knowledge.

Experience with printed circuit board hardware and/or power distribution center (PDC) designExperience with wire harness systems design (circuit analysis, fuse sizing, voltage/impedance)Networking (TSN); Service Oriented approach (SOME/IP); TCP/UDP; MQTT.Knowledge on off-board communication protocols (WiFi, 4G/5G, V2X connectivity).Designed EE platforms or components for Service Oriented Architectures (SOA).Experience using networking tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, PREEvision.

AUTOSAR process/tools know-how and application experience.

Exhibits excellent, clear, and detail-oriented written and verbal communications on highly complex topics.
