OVERVIEW
The Fire Control Heavy System Engineer Technical Lead - Design will focus on system and subsystem integration and test. Review and develop hardware and software requirement documents and test plans. Support hardware and software integration in a lab environment to include the use of various test equipment to include dynamic analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, Ethernet, RS-422, etc.
ONSITE:
This role may require working onsite up to 100%. This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).

RESPONSIBILITIES
Fire Control Heavy System Engineer Technical Lead - Design ensures that all tasks and quality products are completed on time and includes: Performing vehicle level testing utilizing the same type of equipment. Analyzing subsystem requirements and develop logic for flowcharts, state charts, state diagrams, and fire control algorithms for design documents. Supporting fielding and production sites to investigate / resolve fire control issues. Supporting the integration and testing of electrical control devices and sensors on various vehicle platforms. Providing technical FC leadership and communication as required to Piers, Subordinates, GDLS program office, GDLS customers, and other departments within GDLS. Duties include the planning and execution of product development. Responsible for working with product team leaders to manage the project schedule, cost, and risks for engineering -related activities on the program. (This position is for the Olympus program).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required. Electrical Engineering preferred, similar technical degrees will be considered with relevant experience preferred. 7+ years of professional experience. Strong skills in Fire Control system/subsystem and software requirements development, design, and test. Capable of leading a Fire control Project Team (Olympus). Travel to field sights required. Extensive vehicle and lab testing required. ASR is needed to work inside tanks and military vehicles. Extensive use of computer and test equipment in both the laboratory and field environment. Good communication skills required. Must be capable of working in a team environment. Experience in project management, control account management, planning and schedule development, and budgeting. Ability to make decisions in a fast paced dynamic environment (Olympus). Occasionally may need to lift and carry test equipment weighing 30 lbs. This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
