Job Description

About the Role As a Field Service Engineer specializing in EDM systems, you will serve as a critical technical resource for our clients, ensuring the peak performance of high-precision manufacturing equipment. By leveraging your expertise in electrical and mechanical diagnostics, you will resolve complex system failures, minimize downtime, and drive customer satisfaction through expert on-site support and remote troubleshooting. Responsibilities Execute on-site repairs and preventative maintenance on complex EDM machinery to ensure operational excellence. Diagnose and resolve intricate electrical and mechanical malfunctions, utilizing advanced troubleshooting methodologies. Interpret complex schematics and technical diagrams to perform component-level repairs and system modifications. Provide high-level technical guidance to customers via phone and email to facilitate rapid issue resolution. Maintain detailed service records and documentation to track equipment history and improve future maintenance outcomes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share technical insights and contribute to continuous product improvement. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers. Strong command of electrical measurement equipment, including voltmeters and oscilloscopes. Demonstrated ability to read and analyze complex electrical and mechanical schematics. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively to client sites. Preferred Skills Prior experience with CNC programming, including G-code and M-code familiarity. Background in maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems within industrial environments. Experience with spindle maintenance and high-voltage electrical systems. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
