Sr Transmission Line & Civil Design Engineer

Civil/Structural Engineer needed to support transmission line and substation design, calculations, drawings, material lists, bid documents, and construction packages. Job Requirements Engineering degree required Civil Engineering degree preferred 5-10 years of relevant transmission line or civil design experience Experience with transmission line design and analysis Experience preparing engineering drawings, material lists, and construction packages Experience with line design calculations, including structure loading, foundation design, and conductor sag Experience with substation civil design preferred Ability to travel to field locations as needed Ability to drive to local and regional site visits as needed Preferred Skills Experience with substation sitework design Experience with grading, drainage facilities, fencing, block walls, landscaping, and off-site improvements Experience designing substation steel structures, foundations, and control enclosures Experience with route analysis and route selection Experience specifying materials for transmission or substation projects Experience evaluating bid documents and technical submittals Experience supporting steel pole bid packages Experience preparing complete construction documentation packages Job Responsibilities Provide civil and structural engineering design services for transmission line and substation facilities Support construction schedules and resource allocation requirements through design deliverables Develop substation and civil plans for sitework, grading, drainage, fencing, block walls, landscaping, and off-site improvements Complete calculations and designs for substation steel structures, foundations, and control enclosures Perform transmission line engineering design and analysis Support route analysis and route selection for transmission line projects Complete line design calculations, including structure loading, foundation design, and conductor sag Specify project materials and support material list development Review bid documents and technical submittals Prepare construction packages for transmission and substation projects Support steel pole bid documentation and related engineering deliverables Travel to field locations for site visits as required
