Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Staff Engineer to join our forward-thinking engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems. Your expertise will help shape the future of electrical systems, ensuring they meet rigorous standards for performance, safety, and reliability. If you thrive on solving challenging technical problems and are passionate about electrical engineering, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Support engineering planning, analysis, and design for overhead, underground, transmission, distribution, and substation facilities. Assist in developing long-range plans, construction work plans, and system studies. Perform system modeling, including load flow, voltage analysis, and protection coordination using approved engineering tools. Review engineering designs and construction activities for compliance with internal standards, RUS requirements, NESC, and applicable regulations. Support protective device coordination (fusing, relaying, sectionalizing, and SCADA integration). Provide technical support to Operations during routine work, outages, and emergency restoration efforts. Maintain and validate the distribution system model. Experience Experience in electrical utility engineering (distribution, transmission, or substations). Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Professional Engineer (PE) preferred Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and best practices in manufacturing environments. Knowledge of SCADA systems and protective device coordination.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
