Doing what we say we are going to do when we say we are going to do it Position Overview Marolf Environmental is seeking a highly motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support our Wastewater, Lift Station, and Electrical divisions. This is a fully remote engineering position. This role is heavily focused on CAD production and technical documentation . The successful candidate must be highly proficient in CAD and capable of independently producing accurate, detailed as-built drawings and engineered layouts that directly support field operations, permitting, estimating, and Engineer-of-Record coordination. The EIT will serve as a critical technical resource, helping reduce drafting and documentation bottlenecks while gaining cross-disciplinary experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) Demonstrated experience with wastewater systems Experience with lift stations Experience with electrical systems Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Ability to independently produce detailed engineering drawings and as-builts Experience developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) from design drawings Strong technical writing and documentation skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fully remote environment Core Responsibilities CAD & Technical Documentation (Primary Focus) Produce accurate, detailed as-built drawings for wastewater plants and lift stations Develop engineered layout drawings and electrical integration drawings Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) directly from CAD designs Revise drawings based on field feedback and Engineer-of-Record markups Maintain drawing version control and document accuracy Wastewater Division Support wastewater treatment plant projects with layout updates and system documentation Assist estimating team with technical takeoffs and drawing reviews Maintain accurate as-built documentation for completed projects Lift Station Division Produce lift station layout drawings and as-builts Assist with pump, controls, and system documentation coordination Support field teams with technical clarifications Electrical Division (NexCore) Develop pre-engineered electrical layouts Coordinate with Engineers of Record to finalize stamped drawings Prepare submittals, RFIs, and permitting documentation Review estimating takeoffs for scope completeness Assist with technical procurement and material verification Interface with client engineers regarding specifications and technical questions Success Measures Timely and accurate completion of CAD drawings and submittal packages High-quality drawings requiring minimal revision Accurate as-built documentation Minimal material ordering errors Effective remote communication and follow-through Demonstrated progression toward independent project engineering capability
