Senior Power Systems Engineer Location:
United States (Nationwide)

Hybrid About the Role A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking experienced Senior Electrical Engineers to support power system design and analysis work across large-scale infrastructure projects. This role provides exposure to complex electrical systems across sectors such as water, wastewater, industrial, and federal infrastructure , working on projects that have a direct impact on communities and critical systems. You'll be part of a highly technical team, contributing to both design and analytical work while leveraging advanced power system tools and software. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee power system analysis tasks and engineering projects Act as a technical expert for electrical design, troubleshooting, and system studies Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders on technical matters Function as project lead or project manager across multiple concurrent engagements Provide input and support for technical business development efforts Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff Work independently on complex, multi-disciplinary projects Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Professional Engineer (PE) license required 12+ years of experience in electrical engineering / power systems Ability to travel as needed based on project demands Preferred Background Experience supporting power systems across: Water / wastewater infrastructure Industrial or manufacturing environments Federal or mission-critical facilities Familiarity with industry standards:
NEC, NFPA, NESC, IEEE, UFC
Experience in: Power system planning and studies Distributed generation, renewables, and microgrids Medium voltage systems, substations, switchgear, and standby generation Technical publications (e.g., IEEE) are a plus Technical Tools SKM PowerTools ETAP EasyPower
