This position involves technical engineering , project management , and industry representation in support of system reliability and expansion. Core Responsibilities Serve as Project Civil Engineer for Overhead Transmission Projects . Prepare material, equipment, and construction labor specifications . Utilize software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-Tower, PLS-Pole, RISA-3D, RISA-Foot , and

EPRI FAD

Tools . Apply civil engineering site development principles: grading , drainage , excavation , roadway planning , and site layouts . Use tools like MS Project and other financial/project tracking tools to manage project timelines and budgets. Review and analyze layouts , perform preliminary designs , and propose cost estimates and design alternatives . Act as Project Engineer for assigned projects; coordinate lower-level engineers, consultants, vendors, and contractors . Provide engineering support to Extra High Voltage (EHV) Operations for maintenance and troubleshooting. Coordinate with Real Estate, New Business, and Community Affairs on right-of-way issues and encroachments. Prepare and guide design drawings and standards with Design Drafters. Maintain project status updates , assist with budget tracking , and participate in industry standard reviews . May supervise other engineers and participate in Emergency Response operations.

Senior Engineer:

Bachelor's in Civil / Structural Engineering and 8+ years in Transmission Design , or Master's in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Engineer:

Bachelor's in Civil / Structural Engineering and 3-5+ years in Transmission Design Required Skills Familiarity with electric overhead transmission and substation construction . Proficient in high-voltage transmission systems design. Knowledge of civil/structural theory , and design of steel, wood, and concrete structures . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking software . Must possess a valid Driver's License . Preferred P.E. License and EIT certification preferred. Experience with multi-discipline coordination and leading cross-functional teams.
