14665 - Senior Power System Studies Engineer (remote) -

Required:
Experience with power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, TSAT and GE PSLF software. Experience with interconnection procedures as defined by ISO's/Utilities/TOs across U.S. Experience with electrical engineering concepts such as power flow, stability, voltage regulation, reactive support etc. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Responsibilities :
Create and validate PSSE and PSCAD models for transmission line and generation projects. Perform and review steady state, dynamic, short circuit and other power system analyses for transmission lines and renewable facilities. Perform and review transmission line design studies in PSCAD including line energization, switching overvoltage study, shunt reactor sizing, auto reclosing, etc Provide technical expertise to all aspects of interconnection processes and operational requirements. Work closely with ISO's/Utilities/Regulatory agencies to manage interconnection processes for NextEra facilities. Ensure compliance with regional modeling requirements for new and existing generation and transmission line projects. Develop software tools that enhance system reliability and organizational efficiency. Why apply?
