Experience and expertise in application and development of technical principles and practices associated with Electrical Utility systems is required. Experience shall be specific to the engineering and application of Power Systems, Substations and Transmission facilities. Core Responsibilities Evaluate project requirements to support engineering design, construction, and operational objectives Develop scopes of work, design criteria, engineering specifications, construction packages, and funding authorization requests, including economic analyses Coordinate project activities with internal stakeholders, end users, and construction teams, and provide field support as needed Monitor and report on project status, schedules, and costs to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery Lead and interface with cross-functional project teams, including discipline engineers and designers, to drive project execution Identify and address outage, safety, and environmental constraints throughout the project lifecycle Prepare or oversee procurement specifications for equipment, cables, and associated materials; review and approve vendor proposals and drawings Serve as Lead Discipline Engineer with decision-making authority for assigned projects and technical matters Collaborate with internal departments on equipment installation, testing, maintenance, and operational readiness . Required Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Engineeri ng an d 3 year s of applicable engineering work experience. Applicable experience is experience in th e design, analysi s o r operatio n o f power systems, high voltage substations, distributi on o r transmission syste m s. Preferred Education/Experie nce Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 years of applicable engineering work experience. Applicable experience is experience in the design, analysis or operation of power systems, high voltage substations, distribution or transmission syste ms. Relevant Work Experience Experience in applicat ion and developm ent of technical principles and practices associated w ith Electrical Utility sys tems, required. Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel on all levels, required. Knowledgeable in basic engineering design and principles, required. Experience w ith conceptual design, system plan ning and electrical anal ysis, preferred. Experience specific to the engineering and application of Power Systems, Substations and Transmission facili ties, preferred. Ability to write specifications and standards and coordinate engineering projects and assignments, preferred.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
