Job Description

Substation Engineer Shape the Future of Power Delivery We're seeking a Substation Engineer to support high-voltage infrastructure projects that strengthen grid reliability, expand system capacity, and connect essential energy assets. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work across the power landscape while being part of a team recognized for delivering complex solutions with a focus on safety, quality, and execution. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling technical challenges, partnering across disciplines, and contributing throughout the full project lifecycle—from concept and design to construction and energization. It also offers the benefit of working in an environment backed by deep expertise in power delivery and a broader network of infrastructure capabilities. What You'll Do Design high-voltage substations for transmission and distribution applications. Develop site layouts, equipment arrangements, engineering drawings, and supporting calculations for both greenfield and brownfield projects. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, project teams, and clients to support projects from early-stage engineering through construction and commissioning. Contribute to substation solutions serving utilities, renewable energy integration, and other mission-critical infrastructure. Participate in design reviews, resolve technical issues, and support ongoing improvement of engineering standards, tools, and processes. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Experience in substation engineering, utility design, or power systems projects. Working knowledge of high-voltage systems, substation physical design, and equipment arrangements. Familiarity with protection and control principles. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
