Directly contribute to system reliability and the communities served by the utility What You'll Be Doing + Design protection and control systems for substations, transmission lines, and generation facilities + Develop and maintain relay schemes, metering systems, and SCADA designs + Specify substation equipment based on system needs and operating conditions + Analyze system performance and data to support planning and ongoing improvements + Build project scopes, timelines, and cost estimates for capital work + Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting + Review and approve drawings, schematics, and technical documentation + Support and mentor designers/technicians while ensuring quality and compliance What They're Looking For + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering ( ABET
- accredited) + Experience working in a utility or closely related environment (substation, transmission, or generation) + Strong understanding of protection schemes, relays, and control systems + Hands-on experience with substation P&C design and relay logic + Ability to read and develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection drawings + Proficiency in AutoCAD and standard engineering tools/software Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Overland Park, KS.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.33
- $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
