IT Platform Engineer - Linux
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support RHEL and SUSE systems, including patching, hardening, and performance tuning.
Automate provisioning, configuration, and patching using Ansible and Red Hat Satellite.
Manage virtual environments (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V) and enterprise storage platforms.
Oversee DNS/DHCP, backups (TSM, Rubrik), and monitoring systems (Nagios, Datadog).
Maintain EDR-based system security posture and ensure compliance with security standards.
Use GitHub and JIRA for code management and workflow tracking.
Support operational tasks for databases including Oracle, Postgres, DB2, and MySQL.
Perform network troubleshooting, including routing, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP, and connectivity issues.
Strong troubleshooting skills and scripting knowledge.
Develop scripts in Bash and Python to automate system tasks.
Optional exposure to Podman/containerized environments.
Qualifications
8+ years in Linux administration with strong experience in
RHEL/SUSE.
Hands-on experience with Ansible, Satellite, virtualization platforms,
storage, DNS/DHCP, monitoring, and backups.
Scripting skills (Bash, Python) and familiarity with databases and EDR tools.
IT Platform Engineer -AIX
Job Description:
8+ years of hands-on experience in AIX and
RHEL/SUSE
Linux administration
Strong expertise in IBM Power Systems (Power7-Power11), HMC, GPFS clusters, WPARs, and VIOS virtualization, including enterprise virtual environments (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
Strong background in OS hardening, EDR Tools, AIX Trust Execution, security compliance, backup, and disaster recovery
Advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning across OS, network, and storage in 24x7 production environments
Linux administration including OS upgrades, patching, Red Hat Satellite, yum/dnf, and automation using Ansible
Strong scripting skills (ksh/bash/Python) for automation and operational efficiency
Experience with ITIL processes, enterprise monitoring tools, JIRA, and supporting Db2/Oracle infrastructure
Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in mission-critical environments
Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure.

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
