Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing high-voltage transmission lines to ensure reliable and efficient power delivery. You will collaborate with project teams to develop system designs that meet technical standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects that power communities and industries. Responsibilities Develop detailed transmission line designs using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Create and review schematics, system layouts, and electrical drawings for transmission projects. Conduct system design analyses utilizing MATLAB and other engineering tools to optimize performance and reliability. Integrate mechanical knowledge into structural design considerations for towers, poles, and supporting infrastructure. Collaborate with project management teams to develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of design milestones. Utilize GIS technology to analyze geographical data for route selection and environmental impact assessments. Support construction teams by providing technical guidance on system design, schematics, and installation procedures. Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a focus on power systems or systems engineering. Proven experience in transmission line or electrical system design, preferably within a utility or consulting environment. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, MATLAB, GIS tools, and CAD software is essential. Strong understanding of project scheduling, project management principles, and construction processes. Mechanical knowledge related to tower structures and supporting systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with electrical engineering standards, safety protocols, and environmental considerations in infrastructure projects.
