Job Description
About the Role As an Industrial Systems Reliability Engineer, you will serve as a technical cornerstone for our facility, ensuring the peak performance and safety of our complex electrical and instrumentation infrastructure. You will leverage your expertise in power systems and control loops to drive equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across our production environment. Responsibilities Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations to identify and eliminate recurring equipment defects. Provide expert technical guidance for the maintenance and optimization of instrumentation, analyzers, and electrical systems up to 480V. Develop and refine preventive maintenance strategies to enhance asset longevity and operational efficiency. Oversee the technical integrity of capital projects and management of change (MOC) processes to ensure safety and compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex electrical failures and implement robust, long-term repair solutions. Manage the lifecycle of critical electrical components, including motors, VFDs, and control valves, to support seamless production. Audit and update maintenance procedures to ensure they meet the highest standards of safety and technical accuracy. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field. 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments. Proficiency with instrumentation (flow, level, pressure), power distribution, and motor control systems. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable engineering recommendations. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to urgent operational needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse technical teams. Preferred Skills Deep understanding of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA). Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and PLC programming. Familiarity with industry standards such as NEC and ISA. Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise asset management software. Background in power systems analysis and safety interlock validation.
