Our client in Deer Park, TX is seeking a mid-level Low Voltage Mechanical Engineer who is looking to work for a company experiencing high growth and expansion. They are an industry leading OEM integrator based in Pasadena, TX with over 25 years of experience in the electrical field specializing in Power Distribution and Motor Control. DOE Must-Have Requirements 3-7+ years LV OEM / switchgear / power distribution experience Hands-on experience with: Switchboards (SWB) Switch racks / rack-mounted systems Mechanical design experience (layouts, enclosures, structural supports) CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) BOM creation + engineering documentation Knowledge of
UL / NEC
standards Day-to-Day Responsibilities Mechanical layout/design of SWB and switch rack systems Create drawings (GA + fabrication) and BOMs Coordinate with electrical engineering on component placement Support manufacturing / shop floor (fit-up, tolerances, build issues) Drive DFM and cost improvements Handle custom / ETO configurations Preferred / Nice-to-Have ETO (engineered-to-order) environment experience Thermal / heat dissipation knowledge Sheet metal / enclosure design background Experience with Eaton, Siemens, Schneider, ABB platforms Electrical logic - review/redline - build Candidate Profile Strong mechanical problem solver (not just CAD) Experience working closely with production teams Comfortable in fast-paced, custom build environments Can troubleshoot and make real-time design decisions
