Job Description:
Develops interior equipment specifications, interior maintenance programs and specifications. Investigates reliability/serviceability problems, and designs/develops corrective actions. Provides technical interface with manufacturers and suppliers. Develops Engineering Orders to modify aircraft interior equipment and/or configurations. Provides engineering support to Flight, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Aircraft Production in addition to supporting engineering related programs and objectives.
Qualifications :
BS/MS Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering discipline from an accredited college/university. Zero to five years' experience in aircraft engineering or related experience. Familiarity with aircraft interiors, regulatory requirements and AA engineering practices preferred. Must have good interpersonal skills and work well with other groups. Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience : -BS is Engineering (required, not Engineering Technology and not Engineering Management), Electrical Engineering preferred. -Experience with airline processes and procedures. AA experience preferred. -Experience with aircraft cabin electrical systems, WIFI, and/or IFE systems.
