Overview Under general supervision, the SCADA Engineer (Ignition) is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting SCADA systems. This role involves developing new facilities within Ignition, integrating industrial devices, ensuring system reliability, and troubleshooting communication, database, and configuration issues in a fast-paced operational environment. Responsibilities Create and configure new facilities within the Ignition SCADA platform Collaborate with field technicians to test, validate, and troubleshoot new devices Work with support teams to ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of SCADA systems Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
Communications and connectivity Device configurations Tag definitions SQL database/table entries Support integration of various automation controllers and industrial systems Partner with project teams, operations, and customers to deliver effective solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (relevant experience may substitute for degree) Strong understanding of database structures and usage Experience working with industrial automation controllers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new technologies Top 3 Skills Ignition SCADA Industrial Protocols (Modbus, Allen-Bradley, Emerson, MQTT, DNP3) SQL / Database Management Looking for meaningful work?
