Job Description

Job Summary W e are seeking Engineers (levels I, II, III, and Sr.) to provide engineering support and analysis for the integration of large flexible loads into the Client system. This role involves reviewing interconnection studies, ensuring compliance with Client and NERC requirements, analyzing large load behaviors, and developing tools, policies, and procedures to support reliable integration. Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for Engineer I, II, III, or S r. levels. Key Responsibilities Engineer I E valuate large load interconnection studies under guidance from senior engineers and management. Perform powerflow studies to assess reliability of interconnection requests. Communicate Client requirements to Transmission Service Providers and interconnecting entities. Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses of large load behavior and impacts on Client markets and reliability. Gain knowledge of relevant market rules and departmental procedures. Engineer II Independently evaluate large load interconnection studies for compliance with Client and NERC requirements. Perform powerflow studies and communicate requirements to Transmission Service Providers. Conduct analyses of large load behavior and impacts on Client markets and reliability. Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure large loads are integrated into Client models and systems. Apply knowledge of market rules and departmental procedures. Engineer III Perf orm all duties of Engineer II. Develop, enhance, and maintain tools and reports for stakeholders to improve visibility of large load activity. Build expertise in Client competitive energy markets and their relationship to large load incentives and behavior. Propose and develop revisions to Client protocols and guides to enhance reliability. Support Client staff in technical committees and stakeholder meetings. Provide training on large load topics to Client teams and manag ement. Engineer Sr Perform all duties of Engineer I II. Serve as a subject matter expert on large load topics. Provide regular presentations and participate in stakeholder meetings. Develop team procedures and documentation in collaboration with management. Train and mentor less experienced engineers. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure large loads are fully integrated into Client models and systems. Work proactively with upper management to plan and execute Client mission and initiatives related to large load integration. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Client and NERC requirements. Experience with powerflow studies and interconnection processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Prior experience in energy markets or utility operations. Experience with Client systems and protocols. Certifications (if any) Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
