Job Description

Excavating Project Engineer A leading excavating company is actively seeking an experienced and driven Project Engineer to join their team. This individual will oversee the day-to-day operations of excavating, water/sewer, and utility projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company that values safety, quality, and long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of excavating, utility, and civil construction projects Oversee project schedules, budgets, and field operations Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work Monitor progress and resolve issues to keep projects on track
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in excavating, water/sewer, utilities, or related heavy civil construction Experience working with subcontractors and managing field operations Strong knowledge of heavy civil/highway projects, grading, concrete, and underground work Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred Familiarity with heavy construction equipment and operations Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills Stable work history
