Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled professional to prepare, review, and deliver technical proposals and quotations that align with customer requirements. Typical equipment quotes include Medium Voltage Metal Enclosed Switchgear, High and Medium Voltage Substations (Skid Mounted, Unitized, and Modular types), Medium Voltage Metal Enclosed Capacitor and Filter Banks, and other customized Metal Enclosed Electrical products.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and deliver technical proposals and quotations per exact customer requirements.
Work closely with internal engineering, sales engineers, and outside sales teams.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to meet client expectations and company goals.
Provide technical sales support to outside sales personnel and clients.
Maintain records regarding client feedback and opportunities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Access, and Outlook) at a minimum.
Ability to use the latest version of AutoCAD and produce concept drawings for products related to quotations is a plus.
Engage in remote support and virtual meetings or presentations depending on requirements and client needs.
Qualifications
Understanding of Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment and systems (Switchgear, relaying, etc.) along with Electrical Power applications.
Experience in technical sales, ideally in Electrical Equipment Manufacturing or Distribution.
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, ability to handle stress, and operate under deadlines while maintaining standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to provide technical solutions to meet exact customer requirements.
Attend meetings with customers related to technical quotations and ongoing jobs.
Ability to work with internal and external sales and engineering teams while maintaining individual accountability.
Ability to create a bill of materials to set selling prices using Excel with only schematics, one-line diagrams, and customer specifications.
