We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This role is responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes for aerospace investment castings. The Product Engineer will work closely with engineering, tooling, foundry, machining, quality, and production teams to ensure products meet customer requirements while achieving quality, cost, and delivery objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in investment casting, product engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering within an aerospace or industrial manufacturing environment. Strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments are essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities- Review and approve pattern and casting designs to ensure manufacturability and production efficiency. Evaluate and optimize gating methods, heat treatment parameters, and mold characteristics to achieve required metallurgical properties. Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace investment castings. Coordinate technical activities between engineering, foundry, tooling, machining, quality, and production departments. Support new product development, product launches, and engineering change activities. Provide technical support to production supervisors and manufacturing personnel. Work with customers, sales, customer service, and quality teams regarding casting specifications, product requirements, and manufacturing methods. Investigate manufacturing, process, and quality issues and perform root cause analysis. Implement corrective and preventive actions and verify effectiveness. Utilize problem-solving methodologies such as PDCA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement tools. Analyze production and quality data to improve yield, reduce scrap, lower costs, and increase throughput. Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, process instructions, and technical reports. Participate in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, management, and cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required. Preferred degrees include Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related disciplines. 2-10 years of experience in Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Foundry Engineering, or similar roles. Direct experience with Investment Casting is required. Aerospace or Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) casting experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, metallurgy, and casting technologies. Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks preferred. Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings. Experience with statistical analysis, process control, experimentation, and data-driven decision making. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
